SARA PAZELL
Founder & Principal Work Design Strategist
Dr Sara Pazell, PhD, MBA, BAppSci(OT), is a human factors specialist and the founder of ViVID Design Labs – a collaborative human-centred systems and transformation studio built on more than two decades of applied work design experience. Sara works with organisations navigating complexity, change, and transformation – from operational redesign and workforce capability to technology integration, psychosocial systems, and future-focused organisational strategy. Part design strategist, part systems thinker, and part professional “But why do we do it this way?” challenger, Sara is known for combining big-picture thinking with practical, real-world application. She helps organisations transform ideas, expertise, and operational knowledge into scalable systems, learning tools, and meaningful workplace change. Sara is also a researcher, educator, WhyWork Podcast host, and co-editor of several books exploring ergonomics, healthcare, and the future of sustainable work design.
