Context
Psychosocial hazards, like high workload, poor role clarity, and mental fatigue, can significantly impact worker wellbeing and safety. In response to growing legislative and industry demands, our design team partnership between ViVA health at work and ErgoAnalyst, developed Psychosocial Risk Analyser (PRA) through scientific research, WHS regulatory review, and consultation with industry experts.
Challenge
Most organisations lack a reliable way to measure and manage psychosocial risks. Traditional methods often overlook the complex interaction between physical and psychosocial stressors, making it difficult to prioritise interventions or ensure compliance with standards like ‘ISO 45003 Management of Psychosocial Risk.’
Solutions
PRA is a digital risk calculator built into ErgoAnalyst. It quantifies acute and cumulative psychosocial risk, coupled with whole-body manual task risk assessment. It offers an assessment of intervention impact and includes resilience factors to support sustainable work design. Designed for real-world use, PRA gives teams clear risk profiles, mitigation strategies, and actionable insights—helping them move from guesswork to data-driven decision-making. PRA, within ErgoAnalyst, is an essential tool for integrating psychosocial risk management into everyday safety and operational planning.
